The Del Mar
Country Club WGA regular play days are every Tuesday
and Thursday, with tee off typically beginning at 8:30
am. (During winter months this is changed to 9:00 am
due to frost conditions on the course.) Thursday has
historically been the most active date. Lunch follows
at the club. During summer months (June through
October), once a month on Tuesdays tee off is at 1:00
in the afternoon, followed by Margaritas on the patio.
All levels
of golfers are welcome to play. Both 9 holer and 18
holer groups are organized. To be eligible to play, a
player must:

be 18
years of age or older

have an
established handicap
To
participate in sweeps points, a player must:

be a WGA
member in good standing
Formats and
“games” vary from week to week, including a monthly
scramble format.
Sweeps
points are applied weekly to the Thursday play day.
If at least 4 players are present for Tuesday play,
sweeps points will be applied.
To help
players preparing for Team Competition, both combo
tees and red tees are used in weekly play, depending
on individual player’s preference.
The Pro
Shop assigns partners/foursomes, thus giving all
participants an opportunity to play with a variety of
members each week.
